“If you think you are getting to be a person of some influence, try ordering another man’s dog around.” – Will Rogers
The first Obedience “test” was held in 1933. The different levels of Obedience Competition (novice, open, and utility) require that the dog master specific, and increasingly difficult, skill sets.
Novice Class dogs demonstrate good heeling, both on & off leash, good recall, and a good stay in both sit & down position in a group of dogs. In Novice Class competition, the dog can receive an AKC Companion Dog (CD) title.
Brittanys are extremely intelligent and eager-to-please dogs, and can do quite well in Obedience Competition!
